Join in one of our free come and try Get into Golf Women’s sessions. These sessions are a fun, friendly way to familiarise you with some of the skills required to play golf.

These 60 minute sessions incorporate you with some of the skills you need to play golf as well as an opportunity to meet some new people.

All equipment including golf balls, golf clubs, coaching included.

Here is some information about Cairns Mini’s and MyGolf classes.

Saturday Minis

This is our entry level program introducing 4-14 year olds to golf at an early stage. This program is open to all children without any commitment to a set time frame. This means that parents or carers can bring their children along on any given Saturday without any stress of missing a session.

This program runs each Saturday (outside Cairns Golf Club major events i.e. club championships) morning from 9:00am -10:00am during school term.

MyGolf Junior Program

The next pathway for juniors progression is Australia's nationally recognised junior golf program which is conducted through the week during school term.

The focus of these groups (3 holers, 6 holers and 9 holers) is to further their development in actually playing the game. With more focus on the technical parts of the game, these programs are ultimately preparing juniors for on course play. Sub-Junior and Junior memberships are available and required for juniors to play on the course.

In 2025, Golf Australia Queensland is bringing this exciting event to three locations across Queensland, making it easier than ever for more girls to play golf in Queensland.  

This unique program is designed exclusively for girls aged 5 to 18.  The signature program will be delivered by female PGA Professionals, female PGA Associate Professionals, Women's PGA Tour Professionals, and female National Program Deliverers.  The talented all-female coaching team are passionate about empowering the next generation of golfers.  

"Every Girl Can" play golf is perfect for beginners and seasoned players alike. 

The Cairns Golf Club will be hosting Far-North Queensland's program on 10-11 April 2025.
